With a background in the medical field and a love of all animals Lisa found a happy medium teaching Canine First Aid. Lisa has a deep love for animals and their health and well being.
"The reward I get from having the ability to help someone else save their dog, is one like no other. Knowing I have given a person the tools to spot the signs of a bloat or to help a dog that has suffered a serious injury makes me happy. Our animals have such a special bond with us, and love us unconditionally, the least we can do is know how to save their lives"
Lisa grew up with a love for dogs and has been lucky enough to enjoy growing her business, and having the ability to teach her classes with her personal dogs at her side.
" I think every animal has something to teach us. I love that my dogs are able to teach my students how to save another animals life. Working beside them, reminds me how fortunate I really am."
Lisa is located near Champion Alberta and loves to travel everywhere to teach. She is a highly respected instructor who puts on an informative and engaging class.
Megan is a full time wife and mom to her two kids Addelynn, and Clark. Currently working in the field of Dental Assisting.
Recently, She has shifted her focus to expanding her knowledge on K9 first aid!
" My sister and owner of Southern Alberta K9 First Aid, Lisa, has offered me a position assisting and teaching my own classes, which is just an incredible opportunity. And I am now a certified instructor! "
Megan had a lot of dogs growing up, and can remember a few times in particular where a little bit of knowledge about K9 first aid would have really come in handy.
" I am excited to take this journey and to be able to help pet owners have the skill and confidence to help their fur babies in emergency situations, because after all they are apart of the family too"
Gavin worked in many fields before landing in the career of Community Peace Officer in both the Healthcare and Municipal Environments. It is in this world that Gavin developed a profound level of caring for animals, and a want to help people.
“My dog has saved my life on so many different levels. She is my best friend. Learning how to save my dog in an emergency is the greatest gift I could give her in return. I hope to be able to provide the same opportunity to other dog owners.”
Gavin first connected with dogs on his grandpa’s farm growing up and was often caught laying in the sun napping with a furry friend by his side.
“A relationship with a dog is incredibly simple and pure. You love them and they love you, no questions asked.”
Gavin resides in Northern Alberta, has travelled throughout the province teaching Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and is extremely happy to be a part of this organization, mixing a passion for teaching and a love for animals.
